Introduction to Paywall: A paywall is a feature of a website that requires payment from users in order to access additional content or services. Paywalls are increasingly being used to restrict access to content on a website to those who has not pay for it.
By following below steps you can enable the paywall functionality:
- To enable the Paywall first we request you to create a new Article/NewsArticle Schema type.
- After that check the box of “Paywall” option and then set the condition False to this option “Is accessible for free“.
- Also, you can Enter the class name of the paywall section in order to hide the content from there.
For eg: You can target the class and place the class name here in this Enter the class name of the paywall section option in order to hide the content from there.
- That’s it, after that you can see the AMP version it shows the login option in order to access the additional content.
Note: Currently Paywall feature is available only in the Article and NewsArticle Schema types and it works only in the AMp version (AMPforWP) Plugin.
